2024 marked a pivotal year in frontline training. Our customers demonstrated that when learning integrates seamlessly into daily operations, businesses thrive. Through close collaboration and careful attention to their needs, we've refined our approach to deliver training that drives real business results. The success of our customers validates our core mission: to create a world where every frontline worker has a great job.
As we look back at the year, the numbers speak for themselves:
Learning without interruption
We’ve always known that most training happens within work. But most companies lacked a reliable way to know how and when it’s happening. We changed that with Check-ins, and our customers showed us just how much that visibility matter to them. In 2024, our customers completed over 150K Check-ins, that’s an average of ~63 Check-ins per week per customer. These instances represent trackable on-the-job training moments in Opus:
- Skill verification with a manager
- Coaching sessions
- Role play training scenarios
From quick-service franchises to full-service hospitality groups, we demonstrate that effective training can be as fluid and dynamic as the workplace itself.
Customers who prove the potential
This year, our customers also hit milestones of their own:
- Craveworthy Brands acquired and launched 6 new brands in 2024 🚀
- Big Chicken opened 22 new locations and saw a direct correlation between increased training completion and store performance 🚀
- Just Salad expanded operations with their first drive-thru location 🥗
- Shipley Do-nuts reduced start-up investment costs by 23% over the past year 💸

Breaking barriers, building accessibility
Great learning shouldn't have borders—linguistic or technological. After all, 16% of users in Opus are non-English speaking, and of that 16%, 43 different languages and dialects are used every day.
We’ve always been the leader in comprehensive and accurate translations, and in 2024 we’re proud to expand translation coverage so that every user in Opus receives a high-quality training experience. This year we added three new Spanish dialects and added automatic translations to video subtitles
And that’s not all. Our platform now speaks your language — out loud. With Listen Mode, users can enable text-to-speech across 60 different languages.
Mobile isn't just an afterthought for us; it's a primary design principle. We've optimized the Opus Training app so that team members can learn, check in, and grow no matter where they are—on the line, between shifts, or on the go.
The result? A training platform that adapts to your world, not the other way around.
The community that makes this all possible
We're not just thinking about the future of training—we're building it with all of you. Beyond our platform enhancements, we're helping our community grow themselves with:
- Monthly Opus Digest newsletter
- Training leader webinars
- A growing collection of real customer training examples
- Weekly drops of "1 Minute of Learning" on Linkedin
Notably, this year we launched the first Hospitality Training 360 Report, in partnership with CHART, as a go-to resource for L&D and hospitality professionals. Our customers have been essential to this effort, by always openly sharing their training insights and experiences. We're grateful for their contributions and are actively working on new ways to facilitate this knowledge exchange.
Opus isn't just a training platform. We're a group of individuals striving to understand modern work's complexity. By integrating learning directly into daily operations, we're not just teaching—we're transforming how businesses grow, adapt, and excel.
